CCS' College & Young Adult Ministry exists for three purposes: Equipping the Saints, Enhancing Fellowship, and Serving the Body of Christ.
Equipping the Saints: Whether it is proclaimed by a professor, a co-worker, or the guy at the next table in the coffee shop, there are a lot of competing worldviews out there…and few are Biblical. Our desire is to develop a rational Biblical worldview by seeking to apply God’s Word to our lives, while recognizing materialistic and pantheistic worldviews for what they are. Currently we are going through the True U series, “Does God Exist?”
“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” —I Peter 3:15b
Fellowship: Nobody ought to hide in a age-segregated cocoon , yet there are times you need to bounce ideas and issues off peers who are in the same boat. We hope to have a peer group that is wise in the Biblical definition of wisdom, resulting in strong friendships and iron sharpening iron. (Also resulting in game nights or extended fellowship at a coffee house.)
“He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.” —Proverbs 13:20
Serving: Finally, we want to take that wisdom, knowledge, and the relationships, and get plugged in to serving the Body of Christ.
“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” —I Peter 4:10
We meet on Fridays at 7:00pm, in the entry (foyer) of CCS
