Women’s Ministry

Women's Ministry

Calvary Chapel’s Women’s Ministry was formed to strengthen, in Christ, the bond between the women of our body.

We Desire

  • Lasting relationships being built between women.
  • To see needs met, both physical and spiritual.
  • To encourage one another and point each other to Jesus, through prayer and support.
  • To teach God’s principles on loving our husbands, training our children, and serving the Lord.
  • To facilitate effective service and ministry.

Women’s Retreat

We hold a women’s retreat annually. We held our Women’s Retreat April 29th – May 1st at Lake Tahoe in Camp Alta. Laura Cowan was our guest speaker this year and she shared on the theme of Women of War, taken from Ephesians 6:10-18.

You can listen to recordings of this year’s retreat messages at the 2011 Women’s Retreat web page.

Theme Verse: Titus 2:3-8

“Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips, nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good that they may encourage (train) the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands that the word of God may not be dishonored…

In all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified, sound in speech which is beyond reproach in order that the opponent may be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.”

Opportunities to Serve

Not only are there opportunities to attend and be blessed, but also opportunities to serve your sisters here at Calvary Chapel. You don’t need any special talent to serve the Lord, just a willing heart to minister to Jesus by ministering to others. If you have any questions about the ministry, or would like to help, contact the church office at (916) 387-9750.
