We held our Men’s Retreat October 7th – 9th at Young Life’s Woodleaf Camp in Challenge, CA. There were five general sessions presented by various Calvary Chapel pastors from the Northern California & Nevada region centered around our theme verse 1Chronicles 22:19.

Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God. Therefore arise and build the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD and the holy articles of God into the house that is to be built for the name of the LORD.

Join us for fellowship, fun and White Water Rafting July 7th – 9th on the South Fork of the American River. We will be rafting from Chili Bar to Folsom Lake – a total of 20 river miles. The minimum age is 8 years old. Cost for the 2-day trip is $145 (suggested donation) and includes meals beginning with lunch the first day and ending with lunch the second day. Pick up a flyer in foyer for more information. Space is limited.

We held our Women’s Retreat April 29th – May 1st at Lake Tahoe in Camp Alta. Laura Cowan was our guest speaker this year and she shared on the theme of Women of War, taken from Ephesians 6:10-18:

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore having fastened on the belt of truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit with all prayer and supplication.
