Men’s Ministry

In the men’s ministry we seek to encourage one another, through the power of Christ, to have a stronger Christian walk. It is our desire that the men of Calvary would be closely knit, grounded in the Word, seeking to serve God. Just as Titus was so charged in the first century, we want to set a good example for the men of Calvary Chapel, and for the whole church.
Music Ministry

The praise and worship band at Calvary Chapel of Sacramento consists of singers and instrumentalists whose goal is to facilitate our congregation’s expression of love, worship, and praise of the one True Living God. They accomplish this through the singing of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. The team blends contemporary praise choruses, both old and new, along with a sprinkling of the great hymns of the past, which are performed in modern arrangements. The worship team strives to create an environment through prayer, song and example in which others will be encouraged to enter into His presence to worship and adore Him.
Women’s Ministry

Calvary Chapel’s Women’s Ministry was formed to strengthen, in Christ, the bond between the women of our body.
Lasting relationships being built between women.
- To see needs met, both physical and spiritual.
- To encourage one another and point each other to Jesus, through prayer and support.
- To teach God’s principles on loving our husbands, training our children, and serving the Lord.
- To facilitate effective service and ministry.
Discipleship Ministry

The goal of the discipleship ministry is to help new believers in Jesus Christ grow into mature, fruitful, adult believers. This training also offers the spiritual growth opportunities for those who have committed their lives to Jesus, but have never been involved in a regular disciplined study of God’s word.
Discipleship training is focused on understanding the following twelve central concepts:
Missions Ministry

When the Lord sets apart men and women with the unique privilege of proclaiming Christ. It involves, first and foremost, His call, that unique burden in which God stirs the desire to “proclaim Christ where He is not yet known.”At Calvary Sacramento, it has always been our heart to encourage those who are set apart, whether to those in our own community, those stricken by catastrophe in our own country, the people of neighboring countries, or those across the globe. What does it take?
Greeting Ministry

Greeters and ushers are the “ambassadors” of the church – they are the first people one meets upon arriving Sunday morning. Greeters and ushers serve to welcome people, answer questions, provide direction, and to “set the stage” for the worship service and teaching. This ministry can also help answer the questions of those new to Calvary. Whether someone is “old” or “new”, we seek to inform everybody of the full range of opportunities for service and spiritual growth.Greeters/Ushers
Children’s Ministry

At Calvary Chapel we are blessed with an abundance of children. We see this blessing as a sacred trust from the Lord. We want to echo our Lord’s words “Let the children come unto me”. Therefore we are committed to the goal of providing a quality children’s ministry program with an emphasis on Biblical content and a creative application of spiritual principles.
Home Fellowships
As believers, we are seeking to be honest with our Lord and real with one another as we experience the grace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ. One of the best ways to build relationships is to join a home fellowship. Home fellowships are small groups of believers which usually meet in homes. They are a great way to get to know others and build meaningful relationships.
Acts 2:46 tells us that the early believers “…broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts…” As we apply our relationship with the Lord to our relationships with others, we experience the challenges and joys of daily discipleship. There is no greater adventure than seeking to live New Testament Christianity in the midst of the 21’st Century.
Current Home Fellowships
Being based in homes, home fellowships are small, personal, and subject to change due to vacations, holidays, and sick children. It is recommended to verify the schedule of a home fellowship with the church office (916) 387-9750 or the leader of the fellowship prior to attending the study.
